CHENNAI: Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), Chennai, has released a new bus provider from Avadi to Tambaram.
A new path quantity — 206 — has been assigned for this service to ply via Poonamallee.
A total of 10 buses from MTC’s fleet had been earmarked for this new course. Each bus will perform at least ten daily journeys, benefiting 400 passengers an afternoon.
Minister ‘Ma Foi’ K Pandiarajan, the MLA of the Avadi meeting constituency, flagged off the carrier from the Avadi depot on Monday.

CHENNAI: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh commissioned the 5th Dornier squadron of the Indian Navy- INAS 313 (Indian Naval Air Squadron 313) Naval Air Enclave in Meenambakkam on Monday. The squadron will operate two planes from Chennai airport.
“The commissioning of the squadron is a large step towards augmenting Indian Navy’s surveillance competencies at the jap seaboard, mainly along the coast of Tamil Nadu,” said Admiral Karambir Singh.
Pointing out Chennai’s maritime history, the Admiral said the rich marine biodiversity, resources, and maritime activities along the coast of Tamil Nadu additionally underscored the need for regular surveillance inside the place.
