An electric blue color, AI Aqua, will come to the fore in fashion, tech, and interiors in 2021, in line with trend forecasting carrier WGSN.
Announced this week, the emblem defines the color as a “high quality” hue. This is “both sporty and trend-forward.”
When choosing a color, WGSN’s studies approach includes examining enormous trends within numerous industries and socio-economic conditions.
The trend forecaster believes that color traits have a trickle-down effect and that the modern-day political climate and pictures seen on information broadcasters can impact the colors that society is drawn in the direction of.
“In the future, technology is only going to become a more fundamental part of our lives,” WGSN’s head of coloration, Jane Monnington Boddy, told Dezeen. The digital world becomes quicker and more green, and in turn, we will become even more connected and aligned.”
When choosing AI Aqua, the team looked particularly at the arrival of 5G, which is being rolled out to devices this year and is ready to be widely available by 2021.
Monnington Boddy told Dezeen that the standards around augmented reality and artificial intelligence would become a more convenient way to access the faster speeds furnished by 5G.
“The things that had been previously out of reach for plenty will now end up feasible, inflicting everything to alternate,” she defined.
The group found that blue shades were favorites for internet searches and the branding of tech groups.
“We also checked out the most brilliant colorations on the Internet, and blue got here up because it was the most prolific. A look at the Internet’s most closely trafficked websites confirmed that there are nearly two times as many sunglasses of blue as shades of yellow and pink, and three times as a great deal green,” said Monnington Boddy.
“If you suspect of websites like Facebook and Twitter, which we engage with on a daily foundation, they all use predominantly blue branding. If we’re set to spend even more time inside our devices, we will have even extra publicity for this color.”
