SACRAMENTO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nimdzi Insights LLC is launching a general assignment to assess modern clinical interpretation processes in California and to endorse ways to enhance language offerings for the country’s Medicaid beneficiaries who speak little or no English. Mandated by the California State Legislature in August 2016, the task marks the initial implementation degree of Assembly Bill 635, which requires the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to make certain Medi-Cal beneficiaries have enough entry to healthcare services when overseas-language support is needed.
The 9-month assignment will encompass four key initiatives:
Identify the necessity to offer clinical interpretation services;
Research and examine different states’ Medicaid programs;
Recommend techniques for supplying clinical interpretation offerings for Medi-Cal beneficiaries;
Assess and recommend pilot applications to offer and enhance medical interpretation offerings in California. Ric Woelfel, director of different research tasks at Nimdzi Insights, will head this system alongside Abbi Gaines, the studies application supervisor.
