All eyes have been on designers Sana and Safina as they opened Fashion Week Pakistan 2019 with a solo exhibition Tuesday night.
The emblem famous for their fusion paintings presented their collection below the banner of ‘Message from the East.’ It aimed to show how the aesthetics of the west were woven into the ensembles of the east.
“We want to deliver western aesthetics for our nearby audience. The series is all about placing a balance among the east and west,” Safinaz Muneer told SAMAA Digital.

“We have crafted our collection to show the beauty that it brings out while west meets the east,” remarked Sana Hashwani.
Novelty, but changed into left behind in the quest of getting the nice of both worlds.
The first day of the exhibition brought about a low-key start to the style season. The show, which started an hour late, had all of the accouterments of favor week — from the vibrant pink carpet with all of the visitors glammed up getting their due fame to 3 beautiful designs from ace designers.
The designers experimented with bright sequins and performed with their shade palette. There had been solids, including black, maroon, turquoise, and red and pastel floral attire.
Sana Safinaz controlled to position the entirety a touch bit of the whole thing in their series, from sequins to tassels and from pearls to Dhaka and zardozi. The bling stuck our eye for sure, jogging from shirts to borders and shararas and sprinkled onto a pastel palette that ranged from powder pinks to icy blues, mauves, and mint vegetables. The ensembles have been wearable even though not especially particular – however, distinctiveness becomes not truly conventional in any of the showcases.
A host of celebrities had been on the runway as showstoppers to ensure that the show got plenty of hype on social media.
As for the style, ‘safe’ could be a fantastic way to explain it. Some of the clothes had been safe but first-rate, at the same time as others had been alternatively dull.
Most of the attire was long shirts with a combination of flared and cigarette pants. The floral bridal dresses managed to win us over, though.
On the upside, the FPW catwalk turned into a clean, vivid, black glass floor with trees set with hues of red, pink, and orange inside the backdrop. Nubain Ali acted because the choreographer and Samiya Ansari of SABS adeptly churned out bridal appears behind the curtain.
“This yr’s display turned into more of how to fashion and the way to carry the appearance,” stated PR consultant Tehmina Khalid.
The bridal seems from the collection showcased heavy chokers, bare necks, and announcement earrings, she stated. The Sana Safinaz collection is a style statement that includes yesteryear’s greys and splashes it with a few new existences with the aid of installing florals. “I consider that it is a present day-day trendsetter,” she introduced.
“With a complete package and placing the whole thing for all, the show became whole in its own,” stated Angie Marshall of Angie’s Salon and Institute.
