Publix Pharmacy and Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) have announced a collaboration to extend health care offerings for Beaufort County, South Carolina residents. The agreement includes in-hospital delivery of affected person prescriptions from a nearby Publix and in-store telehealth facilities at two Publix places.
“Patients are seeking out the extra convenience to get right of entry to health care, whether it’s a treatment for non-emergency scientific situations or less difficult transitions from sanatorium to home,” said Publix Vice President of Pharmacy Dain Rusk. “This collaboration with Beaufort Memorial Hospital will provide residents of the Beaufort network with a medical care alternative wherein they shop and remove a further errand for patients leaving the clinic.”
“We’re excited about this collaboration to extend the right of entry to care within the Lowcountry and to offer a right away prescription provider to patients leaving the medical institution,” stated Beaufort Memorial President and CEO Russell Baxley, MHA. “Our project is to enhance the health of our network, and presenting stroll-in care through Publix Pharmacy affords a unique way to do just that. It’s another choice for patients who want care while and where it’s far most convenient for them.”
As part of the collaboration, patients discharged from BMH can choose to have medications prescribed throughout their stay added to their room before leaving the clinic. The Publix Pharmacy will fill the prescriptions at store 1463 in Beaufort, South Carolina, and a Publix companion will deliver them to the health facility room. Any bills can be made upon delivery.
Also, Publix will deploy telehealth facilities to offer non-emergency hospital treatment at store 1463 in Beaufort and store 1205 in Bluffton, South Carolina. Powered through the BMH Care Anywhere online digital care provider, each telehealth center may have a non-public room with teleconferencing and medical diagnostic gadgets, including stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, high-definition cameras, and other tools vital for common diagnoses.
The telehealth websites will permit patients to speak directly with a board-licensed company via video conferencing generation. The issuer can direct the patient to apply the available diagnostic equipment so that you can make a diagnosis and write any necessary prescriptions. Publix Pharmacy’s guide body of workers might be available to assist patients. Visits will be $ fifty-nine and will no longer require an appointment. The telehealth facilities will open later this year.
