Bengaluru-based activities equipment and applications reserving market Tossed has raised Rs 36 lakh ($51 643 at cutting-edge exchange quotes) in seed investment from a group of high-net-worth non-resident Indians, an organization declaration stated.
Currently operational in Bengaluru, the startup will use the money to amplify its offerings to different principal towns, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, in a span of 6 to three hundred and sixty-five days, Shank K Vasudev, founder of Tossed, instructed TechCircle. Vasudev was formerly a sales head at Franklin Templeton.
Tossed, which began operations last month, lets users book events such as occasion applications and devices online. The startup additionally offers rental services for sound, stage, lights, LED display, pictures, videography, anchoring/emceeing, DJ, and workforce. The activities and systems may be booked and paid for on Tossed, which in turn can pay the vendor to maintain its margin.
Owned and operated by using Toss head Events India Pvt. The organization has over 500 vendors in its community, from sound or level providers to dancers, DJs, and magicians. Over 75% of its sales are currently generated from character clients (commercial enterprise-to-consumer). At the same time, it has on-boarded about 120 institutional customers (enterprise-to-enterprise) along with inns and occasion management groups.
“Event control is an unorganized zone. Despite approximately 25% growth year-on-year, the industry remains unorganized and lacks transparency in pricing or what products or services they get. The use of technology is honestly zero right here. Our efforts are to convert it into a related area underneath a digital platform that could provide more transparency in pricing and product and carrier pleasant,” Vasudev said.
He claimed the company has already organized seventy-five activities and has over two hundred more in the gift pipeline.
Tossed has also partnered with budget hospitality chain OYO for ceremonial dinner corridor bookings. In August 2018, OYO bought Weddings, an internet marketplace for wedding ceremony venues and vendors.

Globally, interest in the activities and studies segment has gained traction, with several gamers taking bets by either constructing this supply organically or investing in existing businesses.
