The Golisano Foundation and Special Olympics on Wednesday venerated seven health care organizations and specialists who’re operating to bring fitness care offerings to individuals with highbrow disabilities.
The Golisano Global Health Leadership Award, named for philanthropist and Paychex founder Tom Golisano, changed into presented to the seven recipients with Golisano Foundation Executive Director Ann Costello at a rite in Abu Dhabi at the 2019 Special Olympics World Games.
The award was established in 2016 to understand the development being made around the sector to increase get right of entry to essential health care for human beings with highbrow disabilities.
The awards went to Kenya’s Lions Sight First Eye Hospital, India’s Dr. Ashok Dhoble, China’s Hua Dong Hospital, Belgian Dentists Collaboration, Paraguay’s Dr. Dorisel Ferreira, Jordan’s Professor Kamal Bani-Hani, and USA’s Dr. Peter Seidenberg, who’s a family and sports medicine physician at Penn State Sports Medicine College.
Costello says that the awards “Recognize the wonderful work health care professionals can reap to care for a marginalized population.”
